RescueTime
Time & Health
The plan says one thing. RescueTime says what happened.
Fokus pulls your RescueTime activity into the calendar sidebar as color-coded blocks — your planned day and your actual screen time, side by side.
Integrations
What Fokus adds
Not a mirror of the other tool — capabilities that only exist once the two are connected.
Reality rendered on the calendar
App and website usage from RescueTime appears as blocks in the calendar sidebar — you see the 40-minute “quick check of Twitter” exactly where it happened.
Five productivity levels, your colors
From Very Productive to Very Distracting, every block is color-coded by RescueTime’s productivity rating — with colors you choose.
Honest feedback for better plans
Comparing plan against actuals, day after day, is how estimates get realistic — Fokus puts the comparison where you already plan.
How the sync works
Under the hood
Fokus pulls your activity from the RescueTime API, connected with your personal API key. The RescueTime desktop app does the tracking.
-
RescueTime logs your app and web activity
Color-coded blocks appear in the Fokus calendar sidebar
-
You review your day in Fokus
Plan and reality sit side by side
Settings, explained
The controls you actually get after connecting — exactly as they appear in Settings → Integrations.
Productivity Colors
Connected with your RescueTime API key — the panel shows when it last synced, and lets you restyle the five levels:
-
Customize the color for each productivity level
- Very Productive
- Productive
- Neutral
- Distracting
- Very Distracting
Each of RescueTime’s five levels gets a color picker — paint your day in a palette that makes sense at a glance.
Panel shown as it appears in the Fokus app. Every control is optional — defaults work out of the box.
