Task & Project Management
Trello sees the board. Fokus sees the week.
Import cards from the boards you choose, plan them as time on your calendar, and control exactly how completing, archiving and deleting travel between the two.
Integrations
What Fokus adds
Not a mirror of the other tool — capabilities that only exist once the two are connected.
Cards become scheduled tasks
Cards from enabled boards arrive in Fokus with labels and members intact — then they get what a board never gives them: a time slot.
Webhooks keep both sides current
Changes on the board reach Fokus in real time; completing the task in Fokus runs your chosen action on the card — complete, close, or archive it.
Sync rules per action, per direction
For completed, updated and deleted — in each direction — pick the consequence: close, archive, sync, delete, complete, or do nothing.
Per-board auto-import
The client board syncs, the holiday-planning board doesn’t — each board has its own switch.
How the sync works
Under the hood
Trello webhooks push board changes to Fokus as they happen; your per-action sync rules decide what each change does on the other side.
-
A card is added to an enabled board
It appears in Fokus with its labels and members
-
You complete the task in Fokus
Your rule runs in Trello — complete, close or archive the card
-
A card is archived or marked done in Trello
Your rule runs in Fokus — complete the task, or ignore it
Settings, explained
The controls you actually get after connecting — exactly as they appear in Settings → Integrations.
Sync Settings
Auto-Import picks the boards; Sync Settings defines the consequences in each direction:
-
Auto-Import Settings · toggle individual boards
- Client projects
- Marketing
- Home renovation
Only enabled boards import their cards into Fokus.
-
Fokus → Trello · On task completed
What happens to the card when you complete the task. Options include Close card, Archive card, Sync changes, Delete card, Do nothing.
-
Trello → Fokus · On card completed
When a card is archived or marked done in Trello, the Fokus task can complete itself.
-
Trello → Fokus · On card updated
Card edits on the board flow into the Fokus task.
